MARSPER X GUCCI
The China-initiated pop IP and the House debut four limited-edition collectibles inspired by Gucci Cosmos.
Marsper x Gucci presents a series of four collectibles dressed in archival looks featured within the Gucci Cosmos exhibition in Shanghai. Marsper x Gucci
Debuting at the West Bund Center in Shanghai, Gucci Cosmos is an immersive archival exhibition that portrays how the House’s abiding codes and spirit have been brought to life over the past 102 years. Paying homage, but also expanding upon this enduring creativity, Marsper x Gucci presents the collectible Marsper character dressed in four archival looks featured within the exhibition.
The wardrobe includes two sartorial silhouettes envisioned for both women and men from Tom Ford’s Fall Winter 1996 collection—the legendary red velvet suit, as well as a double-breasted pinstripe counterpart. The red stock-tied blouse paired with the Double G belt from Alessandro Michele’s first Fall Winter 2015 men’s collection is featured, in addition to a GG monogram cape with rhinestone embroidery from the Gucci Aria Fall Winter 2021 collection, which celebrated the House’s centennial. Each highly limited collectible is accompanied by a special Gucci Savoy suitcase featuring the GG monogram and Web, as a nod to the imaginative journey on which Gucci and Marsper embark together.
