Sporting a vivid sea-green shade, Carl F. Bucherer is backing the Manta Trust through a special watch debut - the Patravi Scubatec Verde. While the upscale timepiece brand has long collaborated with this UK-based organization, this recent effort will financially back Manta Trust’s newest study voyage near Ecuador.
The Patravi Scubatec Verde watch, as implied by its name, showcases a striking green design, echoing the waters near Isla de La Plata. This petite island off Ecuador is a favored meeting point for oceanic manta rays annually.
The watch dial displays an enchanting wave-inspired design, coated in a glossy lacquer with luminous, rhodium-coated hands and indices. The 44.6mm stainless steel encasing features a ceramic-inlaid bezel, along with an automatic helium release valve and a secure screw-down crown. On its reverse, the watch reveals a depiction of two gracefully swimming manta rays.
Boasting a mesmerizing wave-like pattern, the dial comes in a ravishing lacquered finish and is accented with a lume-filled, rhodium-plated handset and hour markers. Equipped on the 44.6mm stainless steel case is a bezel fitted with ceramic inserts, complete with an automatic helium valve and screw-down crown. Flipping the time-teller over, the caseback depicts an engraving of two manta rays swimming freely.
