Dressed in an all-over oceanic green hue.
Carl F. Bucherer is offering support to the Manta Trust with an exclusive watch release, featuring the Patravi Scubatec Verde. While the luxury watchmaker has been a longtime partner of the UK charity, this year’s contribution will help fund Manta Trust’s latest research expedition just off the coast of Ecuador.
As the name suggests, the Patravi Scubatec Verde timepiece arrives in a stunning green colorway, referencing waters around Isla de La Plata. The small island is located on the Ecuadorian coast and is a place where oceanic manta rays gather during this time of the year.
Boasting a mesmerizing wave-like pattern, the dial comes in a ravishing lacquered finish and is accented with a lume-filled, rhodium-plated handset and hour markers. Equipped on the 44.6mm stainless steel case is a bezel fitted with ceramic inserts, complete with an automatic helium valve and screw-down crown. Flipping the time-teller over, the caseback depicts an engraving of two manta rays swimming freely.
Capable of functioning 500 meters underwater, the watch runs on the automatic CFB 1950.1 caliber. The COSC-certified chronometer is armed with essential time-keeping functions, complete with a power reserve of up to 38 hours. Complementing the overall color palette, the watch comes with a matching green rubber strap fitted with textile inlays, fastened with a metal diver’s folding clasp.
