The luxury fashion world is shifting fast, and shoppers are paying close attention. According to the latest Lyst Index report, Jonathan Anderson’s final Loewe collection surged in demand ahead of his upcoming debut at Dior, helping Loewe become the world’s hottest brand for Q2 2024. After 11 years with the Spanish house, Anderson’s influence has solidified Loewe’s place in modern fashion history.
Several brands are riding the wave of recent creative director shake-ups. Versace climbed in the rankings after Donatella Versace stepped down, and Chloé made its first-ever appearance in the top 10 under new designer Chemena Kamali—her Mini Ruffled Dress became one of the hottest products of the quarter. Balenciaga also gained momentum after designer Demna took over as Gucci’s artistic director, though Gucci itself slipped in the rankings, along with Bottega Veneta and Valentino.
As traditional luxury shifts, more accessible brands are rising. COS made history as the first mass fashion label to crack the Lyst top 10, with a 44% spike in demand and viral success of its Barrel Leg Pants. Uniqlo’s $3.90 color socks became the most affordable item ever to hit the Index, while On Running entered the top 20 for the first time.
Vintage styles are also trending. Adidas’ retro Taekwondo sneakers and Paraboot’s 80-year-old Michael shoe were among the hottest items, and searches for ballet sneakers jumped 1300%, led by the Puma Speedcat Ballet.
From final collections to fashion’s future icons, the latest Lyst report shows how designer changes, accessible luxury, and vintage nostalgia are reshaping what’s hot in 2024.
